Contracting action of aconitine on the excised guinea pig-ileum.

Abstract
Aconitine caused augmented movements in guimea pig-ileums. Augmented movements of guimea pig-ileum by aconitime could be abolished not only by the pretreatments of local anesthetics such as procaine HCL, tetracaine and cocaine, but also by those of atropine, pheoxymbenzamine and morphine, and could not be affected by promenthazine and hexamethonium.
Considering these phenomena, it was suggested that intestinal contractions by aconitinewould be induced by stimulation of sensory merves in the intestine by aconitine.
